The Lottery Process
Each grade level shall be limited to 24 students, with the exception being PreK, which is limited to 20.
Any necessary lottery will be conducted as follows:
- There will be three pools of lottery numbers:
> Applicants with siblings currently enrolled in The Academy of Okmulgee will be drawn first.
> Students residing within the Okmulgee Public School District will be drawn second.
> Students residing outside The Okmulgee Public School District will be drawn third.
- The lottery will take place either in person or on Zoom. Technology will be used to select names randomly.
- For students who aren’t selected within the 24 spaces, a waiting list will be established.
